Author Guidelines

Submitted articles must be original and unpublished; therefore, authors may not submit works that have been published or submitted for publication simultaneously in other scientific or technical journals or publications (except if it is part of an undergraduate thesis, final degree project, postgraduate dissertation, or conference abstract). The Editor and Editorial Committee reserve the right to reject submissions.
Article submissions must adhere to the guidelines established by the Editorial Committee in the "Instructions for Authors" section. Manuscripts must be submitted through the RANAR website.
Articles that do not conform to the publication guidelines will be returned before being considered for evaluation, as will those found to contain plagiarism.
Articles received by the journal undergo a peer-review process; they are reviewed and analyzed by at least two external reviewers, selected by the Editorial Committee. The evaluation process is conducted using a double-blind review method to maintain the anonymity of the authors and reviewers. If articles are accepted for publication, the authors must revise them according to the reviewers' comments within the allotted time. If two reviewers deem that a work does not meet the required scientific level and quality, it will not be published.
Submission of articles to RANAR implies: i) that its publication has been approved by all co-authors and complies with the regulations of the institution where the research was conducted; ii) where applicable, that the presented results come from projects approved by the Biosafety and/or Bioethics Committees of the participating institutions; and iii) that the authors transfer publication rights to RANAR.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The other authors have agreed that I may represent them in this journal and that they share responsibility for its content with me.
  • The authorities of the institution where I work have approved the submission of this work for its potential publication in this journal, and the other authors have received the endorsement of the authorities of their respective institutions.
  • There are no conflicts of interest among the authors.
  • The experimental portion of this work was conducted in accordance with the regulations established by the Biosafety and/or Bioethics Committees of the participating institutions (where applicable).
  • This work has not been previously published nor is it currently under consideration for publication by any other journal. The guidelines for manuscript preparation have been followed and respected, and I agree to grant the journal copyright should the work be accepted and published.
  • I have included the email addresses of each of the authors so that the journal may contact them if necessary.
